Shaturskaya GRES Branch of Unipro PJSC is ready for operation in the autumn-winter season of 2016–2017. The inspection of the power plant was performed by a designated commission, including representatives of the Ministry of Energy, Rostekhnadzor, EMERCOM of Russia, System Operator, and Moscow representative office of Unipro PJSC. The main objective of the commission was to verify the quality of scheduled repairs of the main and auxiliary equipment, buildings, and constructions as per the requirements of current regulations.
The commission members have also examined the plant-wide emergency response and fire drill performed by the workers of Shaturskaya GRES. The operating personnel was practicing the actions required in case of fire of TG-6 turbine house and emergency disconnection of the Power Unit 6 from electric and thermal load, and switching of the city heating network to back-up consumer heat supply system.
The receipt of the certificate of readiness for the winter season confirms reliable operation of the power plant facilities. During the preparation for the heating period, the experts of Shaturskaya GRES within the established deadlines have performed all main and additional actions, conducted scheduled equipment repairs, equipped the workplaces with tools and personal protection equipment, and the personnel underwent scheduled training and certification. In accordance with the schedule, 14 emergency response and fire drills have been performed. Fuel reserves at warehouses exceed the levels established by standards.
