Over January – June 2019, Unipro PJSC power plants generated 25.4 bln kWh, which is higher by 11.9% compared to the same period of 2018. It was thanks to the generation increase at Surgutskaya GRES-2 resulting both from higher demand for electric power and from operation of Power Unit No. 7 that was under a major inspection in H1 2018.
Power generation at Berezovskaya GRES increased by 37%, that was driven mainly by a load increase, inter alia, because of a power transfer absence from Kazakhstan and low water level in the UES of Siberia in Q2 2019.
Heat power generation decreased by 12% compared to the same period of H1 2018 due to weather conditions and amounted to 1138.9 th.Gcal.
