Unipro PJSC publishes the accounting statements for January – September 2021 prepared according to the Russian Accounting Standards (RAS).
The revenue for 9M 2021 was 15,3% higher than in the same period last year and amounted to RUB 67.3 bn. Net profit in the reference period increased by 7.6% and amounted to 12.1 bn roubles.
The key factors of the financials growth in the reporting period were as follows:
- resumption of payments under the Capacity Supply Agreement for Power Unit 3 at Berezovskaya GRES starting from May 2021, which exceeded the financial losses caused by transition from CSA to capacity payment in accordance with the tariffs of CCS and DD of the four combined cycle power units of Shaturskaya GRES, Yaivinskaya GRES and Surgutskaya GRES-2;
- positive market factors in pricing zone I: internal growth of electricity consumption, and, as a consequence, upsurge in the market and increase in electric power production by the Unipro PJSC plants resulting from economic recovery, easing of OPEC+ restrictions, cold winter, record high temperatures in the summer 2021, and growth in electric power export.
At the same time, a higher load on the steam power units of Shaturskaya GRES and Smolenskaya GRES led to increase of the fuel factor in the working cost as compared to the same period of last year.
