Unipro PJSC conducted an emergency response training, combined with a fire-fighting training, as part of the winter preparation commission’s work in the Surgutskaya GRES-2.
The organizers have developed two exercise settings. According to the first one, the personnel had to face several challenges: to stabilize the power unit operation after emergency unloading by automatic equipment, to shutdown the unit in an emergency mode after a fire at the oil station, and to extinguish fire. An additional criterion was the need to maintain the heat load of the plant at 30 degrees below zero.
In addition to the fire-fighting and rescue team, a division for the elimination of emergency oil spills was involved in the accident response.
According to the second setting, power engineers had to master heir actions at combined-cycle power units in case of emergency shutdown of the circulation pump and power unit No. 7.
The training showed that the tasks to eliminate the emergency were set correctly. The employees’ actions were chosen correctly. The overall score is “good”.
