Surgutskaya GRES-2 Power Unit No. 1 Certified for 830 MW Capacity after Improvement

The improved Power Unit No. 1 at Surgutskaya GRES-2 underwent successful integrated testing in May 2022. For three days the steam-powered Unit No. 1 was operating at 830 MW load to verify its capacity stated in the CCSMod Program.

The results of the integrated testing were accepted by the System Operator of the Unified Energy System JSC.

By verifying all system parameters and characteristics of the power unit, Unipro PJSC fulfilled its obligations on certification of generating equipment. Starting from June 1, 2022, Power Unit No. 1 is listed in the register of generating equipment capacity supply limits, with the installed capacity of 830 MW.
