On May, 31, power industry workers went to one of the forest sites within the Yaivinsky District Forestry together with employees of the Kizelovsky Forestry, the Perm branch of Roslesinforg and Uralles to take part in the Garden of Memory, a Russia-wide campaign.
4,800 seedlings of Siberian spruce were planted that day on an area of 1.6 hectares. Out that amount, about 1,000 were planted by employees of Yaivinskaya GRES.
Commemorative plantings have been made in the forest area since 2020. The campaign purpose is to plant more than 27 million trees to commemorate every single victim died during the Great Patriotic War.
The Garden of Memory campaign is organized by the Victory Volunteers and the Fund for the Memory of the Victory Commanders with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Federal Forestry Agency, the All-Russian Society of Nature Preservation under the Ecology national project.
