For 9M 2022, Unipro PJSC’s Power Plants Increased Electric Power Generation by 21.8%

In January–September 2022, Unipro PJSC power plants generated 39.7 bn kWh of electric power, having increased this indicator by 21.8% year-on-year.

The most significant growth was shown by Berezovskaya GRES (price zone II), which is due to the low capacity utilisation at the Yenisei Cascade hydro power plant.  The plant’s output for 9 months of 2022 turned out to be almost three times higher year-on-year.

The increased generation of the company’s plants in price zone I as compared to the previous year is mainly due to the growth in electricity consumption. Besides, the company’s combined cycle units increased electricity generation due to shorter repairs in the reporting period as compared to the previous year.

Heat power generation compared to January–September 2021 decreased by 13% due to weather conditions and amounted to 1240.0 thousand Gcal.
