E.ON Russia commissioned simulator of CCGT- 400 at Surgutskaya GRES-2

Surgutskaya GRES-2 proceeded to commercial operation of the simulator complex of 400MW combined cycle power unit (CCGT-400 MW). Ca. 50mio rubles were spent for the program implementation.
Uniqueness of the simulator is that it is made on the basis of process flow schemes and process control algorithms, which precisely reproduce all operation cycles of the existing CCGT -400. During the training operation personnel of steam and gas turbine shop use the simulator to exercise different scenarios and operations, which are usually performed during start-up and shut down of the power unit and also various non-standard situations. The simulator complex is designed especially for 400MW CCGTs Units of Surgutskaya GRES-2. It is an exclusive complex for thermal power plants in West Siberian region.
“It is important to invest money not only in the equipment modernization, but training of the personnel as well. Being aware of importance of this task, it was decided to install the simulator for training of the personnel”, said Director of SuGRES-2, Evgeny Zhilyaev.
Owing to the simulator more than 30 specialists of gas and steam turbine shop at SuGRES-2 can monthly upgrade their skills.
