Installed capacity of E.ON Russia has increased up to 10.345 GW

The installed capacity of E.ON Russia JSC has increased by 50 MW, from 10,295MW to 10,345MW.

The increase in the installed capacity took place as a result of the modernization project completion at Berezovskaya GRES power unit in Q4 2011. The installed capacity of the plant has increased from 1,550MW to the design value of 1,600 MW.
System Operator UES JSC has approved re-marking of unit No.1 at Berezovskaya GRES as from 01 November 2011, thus allowing selling additional electric power at the Day-Ahead Market (DAM) starting from that date. Payment for additional capacities of unit No.1 at Berezovskaya GRES (50 MW) which fall within the Company’s obligations under the Capacity Supply Contracts started on 01 January 2012.

In 2011 E.ON Russia completed the major part of the investment program for new capacity construction. Commissioning of 4 combined cycle power units and Berezovskaya GRES modernization resulted in increase of the company’s installed capacity by 20%, from 8,630 MW to 10,345 MW, from late 2010. Under the Capacity Supply Contracts 1,650 MW are paid for.
