E.ON Russia’s electric power sales made 46,736 billion kW.h during 9 months of 2011 which is by 10% more than during the similar period of 2010 (42,370 billion kW.h).
Electric power output grew by 12% during 9 months reaching 44,919 billion kW.h.
The upsurge of power production by E.ON Russia is due to commissioning of the new generating facilities in the framework of the Company’s investment program as well as due to the upgrades of the operating equipment.
Thus, the output of Shaturskaya GRES where the new CCGT-400 unit was put into operation in November 2010, augmented by 69% during 9 months of 2011.
The output of Berezovskaya GRES (whose capacity went up by 50 MW since January 1, 2011 after the completion of upgrades) grew by 22% during 9 months of 2011.
The new power generating facilities commissioned in 2011 at Surgutskaya GRES-2 (797 MW) and Yaivinskaya GRES (425 MW) will influence the E.ON Russia’s performance enhancement at year end 2011.
E.ON Russia’s thermal power sales during 9 months of 2011 made 1,154 million GCal, which is by 14% less than during the similar period in 2010 due to warmer weather conditions.
