E.ON Russia will implement automation of power unit No. 3 Surgutskaya GRES-2
E.ON Russia JSC launched automated process control system project implementation at Surgutskaya GRES-2 power unit No. 3.
Reconstruction of 800 MW power unit will allow increasing efficient control of power equipment and reducing fuel consumption.
IT system, turbogenerator vibration-based diagnostics system, automated boiler firing system, automated power unit capacity control system, etc. will be installed while implementing automated process control system at power unit No. 3. Within the project, power unit control center will be reconstructed, installed, commissioned, put into trial operation.
After reconstruction, Surgutskaya GRES-2 will be certified so as to confirm the right of power unit No.3 to participate in standardized initial and automated secondary frequency control. It will allow for expansion of the Company’s participation in the system services market.
Implementation of the automated power unit capacity control system at unit No. 3 is planned to be completed in 2012.
