Berezovskaya GRES helps young champions

Berezovskaya GRES (Sharypovo, Krasnoyarsk territory) sponsored 6 students of Sharypovo youth sport school to take part in the Russia Karate Cup and in the All-Russia Karate Youth Tournament that had been held in the Nizhny Novgorod area with sportsmen coming from 25 regions participating.

As a result, young Sharypovers Nikita Sopov, Dmitry Shchtinin and Evgeniy Voloshenko took bronze medals, and Aleksey Voloshenko - a gold medal and the cup.

"This was very important for the boys. Contests like that one give them a feel of fighting and an impetus for further development. In the oriental marshal arts and in sports in general it is vital not just build up muscle yet to work on technique, develop a fighter's character, which is impossible without participating in tournaments", says Sharypovo youth sport school coach Andrey Pirozhkov.

Berezovskaya GRES social partnership and charity program is a part of a larger tradition that runs in the company. In 2009 several dozens of municipal and regional social organizations received the company's aid, among them sport schools, cultural and educational establishments.
