According to the results of an open bidding for the project related to the creation of replacement capacity on the base of CCGT-400 at Shaturskaya TPP Subsidiary of Generation Company Four of the Wholesale Power Market (OGK-4), a Consortium of General Electric International Inc., USA, and Gama Guk Sistemleri Muhendislik ve Taahhut A.S., Turkey, has been approved as the General Contractor. With the preferred bidder OGK-4 will enter into the General Contractor Agreement for design, delivery of equipment and materials, turnkey construction, and commissioning of a 400-MW single-shaft combined-cycle gas turbine. The Agreement is supposed to be signed before late 1st half year of 2007.
The bidding for selection of the General Contractor for the Shaturskaya TPP CCGT-400 Construction Project was announced by OGK-4 in October 2006. According to the Bidding Committee's opinion, the Consortium of General Electric and Gama offered the best technical and economic conditions for the Project's implementation in compliance with the bidding documentation.
The investment project for the creation of replacement capacity on the base of CCGT-400 at Shaturskaya TPP was approved by the RAO UESR Investment Committee. This project is on the list of high priority sites for commissioning of generating facilities in the Unified Energy System of Russia. The commissioning of CCGT-400 at Shaturskaya TPP is scheduled for 2009. As of today, the project's estimated cost is more than 10 billion rubles.
