The 2019 repair campaign at Smolenskaya GRES Branch of Unipro PJSC began with the shutdown of Power Unit No. 1 featuring a capacity of 210MW for repairs. Until the 28th of April, current repairs of the turbine units and the boiler units will be performed. The experts will perform the standard scope of repairs, including the inspection and fault detection of the main equipment, evaluation of serviceability of components thereof, the required cleaning, and the replacement of the worn parts. E.g., a lateral screen will be cut in the casing of 1B boiler unit for inspection of tubes of the boiler screen system, and the faults of lining will be eliminated. Works associated with inspection of the control valve of the high-pressure cylinder and the hydrogen seal bearings of the turbine unit, as well as the standard works associated with the generator are planned.
The annual repair program provides for current repairs of Power Unit No. 2 in the period between 13 May and 16 July and extended intermediate maintenance of Power Unit No. 3 in the period between 15 July and 12 October.
All repairs to be performed at Smolenskaya GRES within the year are aimed at recovery of the resource of the operating equipment and increase of service life thereof in order to ensure reliable generation of electric power and heat during the maximum load period.
