E.ON Russia Smolenskaya GRES generated over 1.9 billion kWh of electric power in 2015 (+13.8% compared to 2014). Electric power generation increase is due to the loading of the plant by JSC System Operator UES.
Heat generation decreased by 5% to 58,673 Gcal compared to the same period last year. Reduction of heat generation is due to the higher ambient air temperature in the winter season.
Fuel consumption rate for electric power output averaged 359.9 g/kWh, which is 0.4% less than in 2014 (361.3 g/kWh). Reduction in the fuel consumption rate resulted from implementation of a number of measures aimed at repair and technical refurbishment of power units equipment in 2015.
