E.ON Russia Berezovskaya GRES (Krasnoyarsk Region) has successfully completed the 2015–2016 heating season. Power engineers ensured trouble-free operation of the equipment and high-quality heating and hot water supply to the consumers of Sharypovo city, Dubinino town, and Kholmogorskoye village of the Krasnoyarsk Region with a population of over 51 thousand people.
Normally, the heating season in the region is completed on the 15th of May but this year it was extended for additional three days due to the cold snap from 8 to 12 May 2016. During the period between 15 September 2015 and May 2016 Berezovskaya GRES has produced 540 th. Gcal of thermal energy, which is 10 th. Gcal less than last winter. This was caused due to a relatively warm weather in December of 2015.
Concurrently with the heating cut, Berezovskaya GRES experts routinely suspended the centralized hot water supply in Sharypovo to carry out hydraulic tests of the heating network. The defects identified following the results of hydraulic tests will be eliminated within ten days. Afterwards the consumers will be connected to the hot water supply system and power engineers will start repairing the heating network. This summer, a replacement of 5,235 meters of pipes of different diameters, as well as an inspection of hundred pieces of valves will be carried out.
