In 2019, electric power generation by Unipro PJSC has remained the same as in 2018 amounting to 46.4 bln kWh (-0.5% compared to the previous year).
In particular, generation at Surgutskaya GRES-2 has remained at the level of 2018 and amounted to 30.2 bln kWh (-0.8% compared to the previous year).
Electric power generation at Berezovskaya GRES has increased by 18% as compared to 2018. The largest growth in generation took place in Q2 2019, and was due to a late onset of the high-water season and higher demand for thermal power plants in Siberia during this period.
The decrease in electric power generation by the rest power plants in 2019 (as compared to 2018) was due to the following factors:
shutdown of power units at Smolenskaya GRES due to chimney stack repairs;
downtime of Shaturskaya GRES generating equipment in cold reserve due to weather conditions (cooler summer and warmer November and December as compared to the same period of 2018);
shutdown of CCGT Unit at Yaivinskaya GRES due to transformer repairs.
Heat power generation amounted to 2,052.7 thousand Gcal (-7% compared to 2018). The decrease was caused by the weather conditions.
