Under the auspices of its social investment program, Shaturskaya GRES has provided the Shatura Central District Hospital with charity support. About two and a half million rubles has been allocated to purchase medicines and medical equipment for patients diagnosed with COVID-19. 5,000 face masks, 8,000 sterile test swabs, 5 recirculation irradiators, face screens, oxygen masks, pulse oximeters, more than one thousand packs of medicines – this is a non-exhaustive list of items that the health professionals were able to purchase with the funds transferred by the Branch.
The list of purchased equipment items includes percutaneous tracheotomy kits. They are supplied to patients on artificial lung ventilation. These kits are used to install the artificial lung ventilation tube right into the trachea rather than through the mouth cavity. According to doctors, this method makes lung ventilation more physiological and facilitates the care for the patient’s airways.
It is worth mentioning that personal protective equipment will be used by health professionals, and the medicines will be delivered to the patients diagnosed with COVID-19 who receive hospital treatment free of charge.
