New Equipment Delivered to Surgutskaya GRES-2 for Modernization Purposes

To perform the works intended to modernize Power Unit No. 1 SPU-810 MW, a generator actuator and other items of electrical equipment have been delivered to Surgutskaya GRES-2 Branch. The list of items includes the thyristor excitation system, relay protection and control cabinets. Currently, all items of electrical equipment delivered to the plant are undergoing incoming control. The construction and installation works will be launched specifically at Power Unit No. 1 SPU-810 MW on 1 August 2021. Apart from installing a new generator, the power engineers will replace high-pressure and intermediate-pressure cylinders and subject the power unit to an overhaul. Upon completion of the project, the capacity of the power unit will reach 830 MW.
