In HY1 2022, Unipro PJSC’s Power Plants Increased Electric Power Generation by 17.1%

In January–June 2022, Unipro PJSC’s power plants generated 26.6 bln kWh of electric power, having increased this indicator by 17.1% year-on-year.

The generation increase in HY1 2022, mainly due to the growth of electric power consumption, is a continuation of the trend that began in Q1 this year.

In the second price zone, an increased demand for electric power and a decrease in the load of hydroelectric power plants significantly influenced the generation of Berezovskaya GRES: it increased by 85% in HY1 year-on-year.

An additional driver of the output growth for the reporting period in the first price zone was the loading of combined cycle units of Shaturskaya GRES and Surgutskaya GRES-2 that had been under repairs in HY1 2021.

Heat power generation compared to HY1 2021 decreased by 15% due to meteorological conditions and amounted to 1058.6 thousand Gcal.
