Surgutskaya GRES-2 Performs the Repair of Its Buildings and Structures

As part of the annual repair program, Unipro PJSC’s Surgutskaya GRES-2 branch performed the works of repairing the roofing of MCR-2 (main control room), BPS-1 and BPS-2 (bank pump stations), the firehouse, the boiler and smoke extractor systems.

A large amount of work to repair the footpaths of eighteen buildings was done, including the 500 kW open switch yard, four gas purification stations and the gas distribution plant.

In addition, a pilot project of replacing the glazing for row D of the main building has started at the plant this year. It is a smoke extractor on the sideline of chimney stacks. Eight window panels sized 5 x 8 metres were disassembled and re-glazed. The total area amounted to about 320 sq m.

Additionally, power engineers performed a local repair of seams at chimney stack No. 1 this year and covered it with a hydrophobic coating to avoid the formation of icicles on its head in the upcoming winter.
