Installed capacity of E.ON Russia has increased up to 10,295 MW

E.ON Russia JSC and System Operator UES OJSC signed Act on the installed generated capacity of the Company power plants. Subject to the document the installed capacity of E.ON Russia amounts to 10,295.1 MW as of August 1, 2011.

The Company’s installed capacity increased due to the new capacities construction investment program implementation.
New steam and gas power units were commissioned in Q4 of 2010 at Shaturskaya GRES, in Q3 of 2011 – at Surgutskaya GRES-2 and Yajvinskaya GRES. The installed capacity amount of power units was confirmed by test results.
 
In 2010 power unit No. 2 at Berezovskaya GRES was reconstructed, it allowed for increasing the plant installed capacity by 50 MW. Similar works at power unit No. 1 were completed in September 2011. Approval of additional capacity shall have been completed by the end of 2011.
 
Before the investment program implementation the installed capacity of E.ON Russia JSC amounted to 8,630 MW. At present E.ON Russia is the largest wholesale generating company as to the installed capacity. 
 
In 2011 the Company launched final project of the investment program – construction of the coal steam-power unit of 800 MW at Berezovskaya GRES.
